American Civics Snapshots is a 501(c)(3) non-profit effort to improve the knowledge of civics in American adults. We are the only program which attempts to take civics lessons into people’s communities without relying on social media algorithms or even requires people to seek them out.
At American Civics Snapshots, our mission is to empower American adults with a better understanding of history, government, & economics through engaging streaming ads; utilizing proven techniques tailored for adult learners. By transforming complex concepts into accessible & captivating content, we aim to inspire curiosity, foster informed citizenship, & promote lifelong learning.

Our civics micro-lessons are designed with adult learners in mind, with non-partisan information about the systems that shape their lives.

Through our partnership with Tiny Seed VT, every donation is fully tax-deductible — and more of it goes directly to the campaigns.

We connect civics to people’s lives — giving adults the “why should I care” connections that promote retention and application.
For the last 50 years, civics education has been underfunded and under-emphasized as new technologies required more STEM education in the workforce. But to be a functioning member of a democratic republic, adults need to know how their lives are governed.
American Civics Snapshots (ACS) uses tax-exempt donations from the public and organizations of common interest to produce civic-education cards which are distributed through entertainment venues, festivals, and social-service organizations to reach adults who are otherwise disinterested.
These ads use instructional-design techniques like adult-learning principles and microlearning to target American adult audiences. We measure our success based on audience engagement and increased civics knowledge demonstrated in general surveys and targeted assessments.
“An informed citizenry is at the heart of a dynamic democracy.“
~ Thomas Jefferson
Using modern training techniques and broadcasting using the most up-to-date media methods, short lessons will reach an audience which does not have the time, resources, or awareness to become an informed citizenry.
