Through this partnership we are able to ensure that all our donors are able to get the benefits of making fully tax deductible donations.

Educators and Public Servants
At American Civics Snapshots, we are passionate educators, creatives, experts, and advocates dedicated to enhancing the understanding of American history, government functions, and economic systems among adult learners. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit project, our mission is to create engaging and informative public service announcements for streaming services which make complex topics accessible and relatable.
Our organization brings together expertise in instructional design, media production, and adult education, allowing us to distribute high-quality content which resonates with viewers. We believe that informed citizens are the backbone of a thriving democracy, and we are committed to fostering a culture of lifelong learning and civic engagement.

Michael Kane M.Ed. - Executive Director
Michael Kane is Executive Director and founder of American Civics Snapshots, bringing over 20 years of expertise in organizational development, talent management, and educational program design. With a strong background in training and education, Michael has dedicated his career to public service, enhancing learning experiences, and fostering leadership within diverse organizations.
Professional Background
As a recently displaced federal employee, Michael has successfully managed training programs and was rated 'Achieved Excellence' ratings in 4 out of his last 5 years with the federal government. His innovative approach to curriculum and embracing of digital tools and micro-training methods are at the core of his philosophy.
Educational Credentials
Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Political Science and a Bachelor of Secondary Education from the University of Dayton. He furthered his education with a Master of Education from John Carroll University.
Community Engagement
Beyond his professional achievements, Michael is actively involved in his community. Michael is a member of the Addison North-West School District Board of Directors and holds leadership roles in his sons' Scouting America Cub Scout Pack, where he contributes to youth development and community service.
Vision and Commitment
As Executive Director, Michael is passionate about empowering individuals through education and civic engagement. He believes in the transformative power of knowledge and is dedicated to creating impactful public service announcements that resonate with adults, fostering a more informed and engaged citizenry. His leadership is characterized by a collaborative spirit, innovative thinking, and a steadfast commitment to excellence in all endeavors.
As a Federal Supervisor he led a team of adjudicators, His leadership earned him the Director’s Award for Employee Empowerment, recognizing his commitment to fostering career development among his team members. He also received the DHS Secretary's Award for Excellence for his innovative ideas.
